We use a systemic lens through which we see the client – – an individual, family or organization. This lens allows us to pull back and observe the client in his/her (or the organizations) current and historic environment. We see the family or organization, the community, the people that came before and we notice how the individual is placed within those layers of concentric and overlapping circles. Each person has their appropriate place of respect and contribution. The place of belonging, order and equal give and take.
