You suppose you are the trouble,
but you are the cure.
You suppose
that you are the lock on the door,
but you are the key that opens it.
It is too bad
that you want to be someone else,
you don't see your own face,
your own beauty.
Yet, no face is more beautiful than yours.

The purpose of counseling is to assist people to better understand themselves and help them solve their problems. We look for inner strength and what we find beneficial in oneself. The strength can be applied to the things we want to change. Counseling is a process in which individuals (groups, couples, and families) are helped to express themselves in a safe, supportive, collaborative and non-judgmental environment. We identify, sort-out, and clarify problems. We might also look for ineffective patterns and learn, where appropriate, more helpful coping skills. Identifying and achieving goals that are important to us is another aspect of counseling.
Counseling also helps us to dis-entangle ourselves from the past, from issues that are ours' and from ones that are not ours. It is important for us to learn the lesson, keep the learning but leave the baggage behind. With personal ceremonies we heal the past and move forward into the future we desire.
Counseling is used to support:
